Battery stopped charging

i’m not sure if it’s of any help but after this issue started, i noticed i’m occasionally having to reset the keyboard to get it to send any input. might be unrelated but maybe not? since it seems to be after it gets that “maintain 0A either direction” issue.

this is rather annoying since it makes my Pocket Reform unusable, since i can either baby it and unplug it and plug it back in every 5 minutes when it gets the bug, or just, be stuck not using it. idk if anyone else notices the issue going away when unplugging and plugging back in?

I often, too, have to reset USB or keyboard repeatedly to bring it (back) to life. This may happen at boot time or while using the pocket. In the latter case it seems to correspond with single characters beeing repeateddddddddddd just before losing connection. I don’t think it makes a difference whether I work on bat or ps.

The was my problem - the battery wires not being fully inserted, they were very difficult to insert due to their thickness. The new controller works fine, thanks to MNT for the replacement!)

Adding to this Apple charger situation I did a quick experiment in the studio today:

  • Apple charger plugged directly into Pocket = this charging problem
  • Same charger plugged into usb-c hub (usb, ethernet, hdmi) then into Pocket = stable and perfect charging.

You can try opening the Console in the keyboard’s OLED menu and enter: (pdsink 1), followed by return. Does that change the cycling charging behavior?

This did not make a difference. But tried with another dongle today and that was also stable.
