Hi, my pocket reform arrived, I updated it and the UI broke, it was a half light mode/dark mode mess. I assumed old config was in the way so deleted that, but now the session is conmpletely unusable.
I can’t login with root either. How can I recover from this? Do I have to re-image the system?
Hi, sorry to hear it! Is it an imx8mplus Pocket from Crowd Supply or rk3588 from MNT shop? And which desktop did you choose, gnome or sway? Which file did you delete? What kind of login screen do you see? (Photo?)
I think it is the mx8 one, I ordered it from mouser in the EU (but they shipped it from the US for some reason…)
I deleted ~/.config/*
The login manager was in text mode, gnome was not an option, I picked the other desktop (not sway) initially. I did manage to get it fixed now and install gnome and gdm3 later.
It was not clear to me that F3 and such was an option to type in the text mode login manager, in sway i was able to install software again.
