Haiku may not be available, but its valuable software can be with Haiku on Genode (HoG). HoG is intended as a toolkit for compiling Haiku apps on Genode / Sculpt.
The benefits of Haiku apps over (say) Linux are that they benefit from a more consistent style. It presumably helps developers that Haiku and its apps are written in C++ in common with Genode. HoG web page makes reference to BFS (Be File System) driver which suggests Haiku apps expect the unique (even to this day) infrastructure like that database filesystem that made BeOS such a revolutionary user environment.
The author is the chief dev at TuneTracker, a radio automation platform, and lapsed contributor at Genodians. His writings on HoG suggest he keen to attract more collaborators!
