I encountered the same issue as @pixie. After updating SC/Keyboard firmware and kernel the internal display wouldn’t turn on.
With an external monitor attached I was able to switch to a console tty and update the kernel. I can report that the display is working fine now.
I updated the system controller and keyboard firmware again and I can also confirm the hyper+enter key combo is working now as well.
