i wanted to make a thread to ask a few questions about the new system controller update coming out in the coming weeks, and figured i may as well make a general thread so others can ask too (maybe pin this through beta to release as a megathread? also Minute, if you were about to post, feel free to delete mine since i don’t wanna step on anyone’s toes so to speak lol). so here’s my two questions:
- how do i get the beta when that’s ready?
- will or can this update make the trackball and keyboard appear as separate devices, for compatibility with /proc/acpi/wakeup and similar interfaces so i can set the trackball to not wake up the screen, only the keyboard?
the reason for question 2 is that i find if the Pocket is turned on its edges, the trackball “falls out” of the cup against the keyboard faceplate and that wakes the screen, massively killing battery life when it’s pocketed, or stood on the headphone jack end on a crowded desk to charge (how mine usually is)
