Hi all, I’ve updated my Reform gaming list with 6 new games.
The complete list is available here (I’m unable to edit my previous post so, sorry for the new post):
- For Tor, Tails and Tor Browser users, it’s also available here: http://k6x7mmdbje4xc2f6i6zs5cy7uwceeeiqtsgawedkxrci7mpqi6qkktyd.onion/reform-games.html
The new games in the list are:
- Dominions 6: same instructions as for Dominions 5. An amazingly deep and complex strategy game. Steam install, box64 used to run it. No “wireframe” bug as described in Dominions 5 entry.
- RoadWarden: a mainly text adventure using Renpy under the hood. Steam install again, use
RENPY_PLATFORM=linux-x86_64 ./Roadwarden.shto launch it. Might be ran native by using debian’s Renpy packages but I’ve not tested it. - Rogue Empire: A nice roguelike with ADOM vibes. Steam install, box64 to run it.
- Unreal World: a deep survival Roguelike set in stone age Finland. Works flawlessly with box64 but you’ll have to copy RITUALSBG.BMP and SKILLSBG.BMP from a working (read: x86/amd64) installation and make them immutable with
sudo chattr +i RITUALSBG.BMP....Be prepared, it’s a hard game of survival - surviving your first winter is a challenge! - ZeroSpades: an OpenSpades engine (voxel FPS). Flatpak install, native
- OpenArena: native install from debian package, Quake 3 clone.
- Assault Cube: old school CS like FPS, Flatpak install, native.
Right now Dominions 6 is eating a good chunk of my (and my son’s :D) spare time, but I’m starting to select a bunch of games to test on the Reform for the next monthes. As always, have fun!
