For my classic Reform keyboard I reduced the number of “space” keys to one and repurposed the other.
They are not wired together on the pcb but the keyboard firmware sends the same code for both unless you update the matrix (look for matrix.h in the firmware source). You can configure each key to send any scancode you want.
Thanks to both of you! If you have a pointer to the procedure for rebuilding and installing the firmware I’m all ears (though I suspect I can find it myself, too).
