Reform fails to boot after kernel update to 6.14

hi I just updated my reform with an a311d module to the latest kernel and it now fails to boot giving just a blank screen.

Any suggestions?

well that is unepected. Ignored it for a while, tried again and it worked

I don’t know if you’re having the same thing I’m seeing, but mine’s been kind of weirdly putting it’s output on the HDMI port sometimes, but on the internal screen at other times. I haven’t gotten it diagnosed yet, but I am mostly at home, so it’s not a huge deal to plug it into a monitor and disable the external display so the internal can work.

Rebooting also seems to help, sometimes (I’ve seen it do the HDMI thing multiple times in a row, though, so you might need to try more than once).

I’ve also had it give me the blank screen of being on the HDMI port, and when I enter my encrypted drive password “blind”, when gdm starts up it seems to correctly move the video output to the internal monitor. You might try that, if you’re using gnome?

interesting. I will see if that is the case. It is the first time that I have noticed it though

I also have this issue. A reboot usually fixes
