The first batch of the custom shielded flex cables came and they fit and work in the setup. During testing I could cause WiFi interference only when holding the antenna close to the display.
But then I put the heatsink on and the problem came back! So running the cable between heatsink and CPU module makes it susceptible to WiFi interference.
Running the new cable over the heatsink instead of under it made the issue go away here. I think it’s fine to do that with the new cable because it is more robust and has a shorter stiffener that doesn’t cause mechanical issues near the connectors.
