Sway and Appimages

Hello everyone,

is there a way to integrate Appimages into the SWAY launcher? Currently, I’m working with symlinks and ./ in the terminal. That works quite well, but the launcher would be more convenient.

Hi, our sway configuration uses “wofi” as the launcher. I was curious and googled around a bit and found Gearlever which is a very user friendly GUI that you can use to install downloaded AppImages into the application menu: GitHub - mijorus/gearlever: Manage AppImages with ease 📦

I tested it with ZMK Studio and Freecad AppImages and it works, it shows up in GNOME launcher as well as in wofi --show drun. Ironically I installed Gearlever using flatpak/flathub.
