Unable to turn on my PocketReform

Hello friends,

As previously posted, I’ve been very, very happy with this machine. It even went with me on a trip to the Arctic, and it performed flawlessly. Thank you for all the advice I got here.

So now, on the long trip back home, I needed to complete some urgent tasks, and unfortunately, my Pocket is just dead.

Last time I used it, some 10 days ago, it had about 30% battery charge left at the moment I turned it off. Today, I plugged in the charger, and it will not just turn on. No LCD screen either. There is some orange glow on the charging USB port side (from an inside charging LED?), but after 20 min like that, still nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Ricardo, I saw a week ago or maybe more, someone having similar issue. First thing recommended is to check this self-help knowledge base: MNT Support If you haven’t already, give it a go.

You had probably the first Pocket Reform on the pole  Congrats.

Leave it to charge overnight. If you’re getting the glow, the charging circuit is likely working.

Also, shut off the standby switch if you’re going to have it away from power for a long time, so it doesn’t drain the batteries. I’m pondering replacing the factory standby switch with one I can turn in and off without a tool.

Thanks! Stupid follow up question, but I guess the overnight charging needs to be done with the stand-by switch on the on position?

Thanks again.

I believe so, but I have never tried charging mine with the standby switch off, so I’m not certain.
