- Amiga model: A2000 Rev 6.2 (2 different hosts)
- 680x0 CPU: 68000 (for basic test purposes)
- RAM Configuration: No Amiga expansions for test purposes, tested various ZZ9900 firmware from 1.8-1.12.1. 2MB ChipRAM on hosts.
- Kickstart, AmigaOS Versions:3.2.1 ROM (47.101)
- ZZ9000 Firmware version: 1.8-z2/2MB, 1.9-z2/2MB,1.9-z2-4MB-NoAuto, 1.10-z2-4MB-NoAuto, - 1.10-z2-4MB, 1.11-z2-4MB, 1.12.1-z2-4MB
- ZZ9000 Driver version: Not Applicable (not booting)
- Monitor model: Not connected
- Other Zorro cards: None
I cannot get 2 zz9900’s with z2 firmware, sans the 1.9/1.10 versions with NoAutoboot, to let two different A2000 Rev 6.2/Kickstart 3.2.1 boot. The power LED lights, goes bright, then does a 6-1 flash sequence. The same cards with each of the firmwares noted behaves as expected in my A4000T/060. Extensive testing notes follow:
Test Host is a Rev 6.2 A2000 / 68000 CPU, 3.2.1 (47.101), no other expansions
Notes:
- Rev 2 ZZ9900 card is owned by P. N., was updated by ACILL 09 / 2020. Visually, D1 is missing.
- Rev 3 ZZ9900 card is my card (R. M.) that I use in my A4000T/060 for Networking only at this time. Uses Z3 Firmwares when used normally in that system.
- Available zz9900ax module(s) not connected. No video or network cables are connected to cards. Video Slot Connector not connected.
- Attempted to hold mouse buttons for Early Startup Menu in all cases.
- Care always taken to delete old boot.bin on 128MB flash card, copy new, and always use Eject option on Windows Explorer. I used the same flash media between both ZZ9900’s.
- A2000 machines (mine and P. N.'s) tested with a GVP Spectrum 28/24 in auto-detect, and it shows proper 64K/2MB AutoConfig expansion when that card is installed.
- In later (newer) firmware tests, in my A4000/060, card is not seen on cold boot (expected), behaves as expected on a warm boot.
