Since the MNT Reform Camera has been sadly discontinued, does anyone have any recommendations for a compatible webcam?

FWIW, really pretty much any standard USB webcam should work. Myself, I’ve been using a “Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. HiCamera” (as shown by lsusb, bought online about four years ago, with microphone), which works fine on my MNT Reform. Just an example. It’s a good feeling that I can plug in the camera only when I need it. Even better than kill-switches, if a bit less convenient.
I am sure alternative cameras do work very well although I did buy the MNT camera and really like the fish eye and slightly low fi look, it provides great and interesting footage for certain uses. I remember reading MNT Next Reform will lead to a Camera 2.0 for sale on it’s own.
Yeah, the MNT camera was very nice, though not cheap. Having a standalone MNT USB camera available again would be good.
