Compatibility of the MNT Reform Next and the RKX7

I am considering preordering the MNT Reform Next and my purchase depends on whether it is compatible with the RKX7 SoM. Are these two compatible?

Generally yes. It depends a bit what your goals are with this combination.

I want to create a RISC-V SoC with custom Lisp Extensions. So access to the display, keyboard and storage would be required.

Yep, that should work. I made the latest RKX7 RGB to eDP adapter version so that it can also be mounted on the 2x2cm grid in the Next.
