Do you got to choose mount point during installation?

Hi, does the current “Reform OS” (debian?) let you choose partition mount points during installation? For example, do you got to choose to put / on the RK3588 module’s onboard memory, and putting /home on SD card? Or is it a manual process?

Manual.
The official images are just that - filesystem images - and meant to be written to an SD Card via dd.

There is a tool to migrate the installation to an SSD, but that’s automatic as well, and has some limitations. For instance it does not install the bootloader to eMMC on A311D.

However, the manual setup process isn’t too bad. I set up Gentoo on my Reform, and didn’t run into any major issues.
