Loving my Pocket Reform (currently running this image from around 2 weeks ago) and now starting to invest time in it and transition to daily drive status (even on this lower powered chipset it seems good for much of what I do).
However - I’m having trouble connecting to any external screen, desktop or portable. I’ve tried a few combinations but no luck - far as I can see the micro HDMI is not doing much (though I don’t know how to do any useful debugging).
Is anyone else on the i.MX8M chipset successfully connecting to external screens and if so please let me know how (which cables / cable combination), which screens (manufacturer/model), which image you are running and what the process looks like in Gnome/your alternative in terms of commands in CLI or graphical settings.
I was succesfully using my i.MX8M pocket reform with an external screen a few weeks ago, I’ll try it again later today and leave an update here with more exact information.
I was using a generic micro-HDMI to HDMI cable that I got for a Raspberry PI Zero and my monitor is some kind of ASUS. I’ve only been using Sway, not Gnome (since Gnome makes me kinda sad on the i.MX8M).
Ha - instant success with Sway with the first external screen I tried - very glad I asked here for such a simple nudge - wasn’t important that I use Gnome anyway.
