Internal display "flashes" while in dual display mode

Loving the laptop, thanks for making it available…

I recently was using the external display hdmi port on my tv and noticed that the built-in display seems buggy. It flashes between the external display and itself… It seems like both of the displays’ outputs are being alternated on the built in display. The external display seems to work as expected.

Anyone else experienced this?

edit: running sway, on an apt-get upgraded system.

In summary - try inserting HDMI cable after starting sway, it helped in my case; flashing was only occurring when I inserted cable in text mode, before switching to GUI.
