Is it okay to remove all the cells in a Reform classic and run it only on external power?

MNT Reform stopped charging

Yes, works fine. The upcoming reform desktop will do the same - run on the same mb but w/o the batteries.

First I hear of this. I’d be interested in a powerful ARM desktop. I really like the Reform laptop, but I tried reframing a 360 degree video the other day and… well, let’s say it took a while :slight_smile:

It has worked perfectly fine without batteries for nearly a year (anniversary is in four days) for my MM Board Reform aka my Kodi mediacenter setup:
