While most of the design choices on Pocket Reform are amazing, I think the ix Industrial ethernet port is not compelling. That’s not for its form factor, but because connectors are hilariously expensive (Apple style, really).
MNT had some (too few) Sinbon adapters to RJ45 in stock - sadly, they were gone before I could order one. Ordering from Sinbon directly isn’t possible unless you have an EU VAT number ready (I don’t).
What other reasonably priced options do folks here know about?
I got a “AMPHENOL COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS ND9ACC2B0A” from Farnell and is also available at Digikey so I think you don’t need a VAT number to get one (not absolutely sure because I have a VAT number and probably used it because I’m a professional ). It’s not really an adapter but simply a cable with RJ45 on one end and IX on the other. Works great though!
Whoops, sorry about jumping to that conclusion. I had seen your announcement that they had arrived, then had no chance of going shopping for a long time, then checked and couldn’t find them. I’ll know better next time.
