I noticed that the keyboard illumination is reset during boot and becomes dimmed. When I reset it later via oled display, it comes back to its earlier state. This happend after some updates; out of the box the leds came back to their normal intensity after reboot.
Is there a way to solve this?

Aha, thank you! This has been driving me mad. I prefer the keyboard backlight off most of the time and this would explain why it has been switching itself on every 10 minutes or so.
Looking at the reform-power-daemon logs I see that it constantly flip-flops between charging and discharging whether I’m plugged in or not.
Either way, I’ve commented out the offending lines in /usr/libexec/reform-tools/reform-power-daemon as a temporary fix.
