Bought one on Amibay, but it came without manual, got a scan from seller with MAC address, but have no network connectivity using roadshow (multiple DHCP timeouts). I want to see if there is a way to discover MAC address I suspect it might be wrong.
Hi buddy if you look on the MMNT site a full manual is there. Its a great card but without updates it has come to a grinding stop with no further development at the moment either.
oh If you are using Roadshow you will need Roadie to config it for you correctly as well as the full install disk for the ZZ9000 too.
You can basically choose any MAC address you want, it doesn’t matter as long as it’s not a duplicate of something else on your network.
If network is not working, and it’s an older rev of the card, it’s likely that a transistor/FET has been partially knocked off the board (check the FETs near the Zorro port pins). There’s a workaround for this case that involves setting the INT2/6 jumper to INT2 and setting the respective ENV var for this (create an empty file ENVARC:ZZ9K_INT2 and reboot).
