MNT Pocket Reform for sale in Berlin, DE

That’s the one, I bought in 2025-09 second hand, barely used.
While I like it, I practically don’t use it.
I bought it for a journey and in the end did not take it with me.
And before it collects dust, I better sell it to someone who gives it the love it deserves.

It says Cortex-A53, 1840 MHz, so it’s probably the goo’ ol’ i.MX8MPlus, right?
It has 8 GB of RAM and a 900 GB NVME.

I had problems with X11, but Wayland runs fine.
Just did a fresh Debian 13 trixie + bpo install and it looks great.

Not sure, what a fair price would be?

Oh good to know!

Yes, that’s i.mx8m+. You can find out for sure by checking /proc/device-tree/model or just run sudo reform-check to get a bunch of diagnostics.

Post a photo! Is it purple?

Maybe I wouldn’t sell it, if it were purple
It’s the normal black one, i.e. nothing special to see.

Even a black one is pretty special.

Some more info:

  • seems to have still the original charger module, i.e. I don’t see a “V2” on the PCB
  • probably the “clicky” key switches, i.e. they look white to me
  • comes with an RJ45 Ethernet adaptor
  • it’s all black, black keyboard, white letters on keyboard (are there other variants anyway?)
  • I paid 800 € back then and would like to avoid a (big) loss
  • For people working on free software with the device, esp. Debian, I would make a significant discount

Where do you live? You can email me at “debacle AT debian DOT org”.
In German, if you like

Because @MartinL is intending to sponsor free software work, I pinned this topic globally.

Good luck with the sale! Let me know when it got sold so that I can un-pin it.
