The Ortholinear keyboard was a big reason why I bought it! I know some have complained about the thickness of the screen half, but having the CPU on the screen means that it never gets hot on my lap. I imagine that this also probably improves heat dissipation.
The biggest constraint feels like the ARM CPU, but that would be hard to get around.
To get really nitpicky:
- The screen bezel could certainly be improved.
- The trackball is just slightly too loose for its spot and rattles slightly.
- The hinge opens slightly too easily, so when picking up a closed Pocket from the screen, the device opens a bit.
All things considered, I am very happy with my device. I love how hackable it is, and this community form makes any modification substantially more accessible. It seems like the approach is working and I’m excited about future updates.
