MNT Reform Keyboard spare parts

My MNT Reform Keyboard works well and after some months of testing I have no doubt it will continue to work well.

However, I wonder for the case it might happen where you get spare parts and repair manuals for things that tend to break for keyboards:

  • Switches (I think what to order here is clear, but where do you source them from)
  • Keycaps - here I am not sure what to order (material, how to make sure that the LED is visible through the key etc.) and where.
  • Case: I guess here I could ask the mntre team if it ever would break.

The electronics are clear from the pcb sources. Also here I wonder where you source them from.

Currently, I am interested in orders via European manufacturers (as it is most simple for me), but of course also interested world-wide.

Thanks a lot.

Last time I bought switches I just got them from vendors on ebay.

Last time I bought keycaps I got them custom made from here: Custom Keycaps They seem to have “shinethrough” options now. Back when I ordered they only had opaque MBK caps.

I currently only see a “PCB but no case” option in the shop and not a “case but no PCB” option. But they will probably happily sell you one. Note that you could of course always send the CAD files of the case to a manufacturer of your choice if you don’t want to go via MNT.
