My Pocket Reform freezes after some time i.e. the screen is still lit but the system won’t respond to pressed keys or the trackball. Sometimes it would first behave strangely i.e. I wouldn’t be able to launch new apps, when I start programs it in the terminal I get I/O errors, the filesystem is set to emergency_ro. This might happen after a few minutes but I also had the machine run for almost two hours todays.
I upgraded to the new Pocket Reform Charger Module and the new Headset / Switch Board. So I cannot rule out a hardware defect but I believe the system was stable after the modification. I keep my system updated so I can’t rule out a problem with some update. Also the filesystem might be damaged due to the freezes.
I did try to use dmesg and journalctl to get some ideas about what is going on but I am not experienced enough to know what I should be looking for. There are also errors during boot, see attached - but I am not sure whether this is expected. The systems stops during boot so I can enter the password for the encrypted SSD. Also the screen at shutdown shows some errors.
Any idea what to do?
