The Pocket Reform was born to be a mobile workhorse. It is designed in such a way that it really lends itself to this role. To that end, I’m curious if anyone has found a way to get a full days worth of work out of it?

Amospallo made a nice little script which kind of puts the imx8+ into a low power running state, not to be confused with suspend. This gets you about 1.5 times the amount of battery life you would normally get. Meaning it can extend your battery life, but not by much, in the scope of a day.

So then the question is until suspend or preferably hibernation are possible, how are you getting through the day? If you are using battery packs, let us know what ones you are using and the kind of additional run time you are seeing from it.

I trying Universal Wayland Session Manager.

I usually use my pocket reform in short periods of time when I in public so I would still prefer to power off and switch off the power standby mode.

At home and office use I always have charger plugged into my pocket reform.

Power bank I use Dell PW7018LC Notebook Power Bank Plus. I carry this on-the-go daily even before I got my pocket reform and my charger is steam deck charger.
