Why remove the batteries before removing the keyboard? Is switching off the standby power sufficient?
As far as i see, parts of the system still have some connection to the batteries, so parts maybe under “power” and a slipping screwdriver or a falling screw can perhaps make a shortcut. I learned it is always more secure and recommended to disconnect all power resources and experienced the hard way i should have listened to me more often.
