Before I dive into the code, does anybody know if the LPC - or whatever charge controller in the USB-C-equipped Reform - supports charge caps? Or if not, if it’s possible to control the charge somehow to implement charge caps?
I’d like to implement this if it’s physically possible.
sysctl is in charge of controlling the charger IC. Maybe the charger IC can directly be told to charge up to a given capacity, or alternatively the sysctl FW could tell the charger to stop charging at a given level.
Nothing like that is implemented today tho.
Thanks! I’ll take a look when i have a minute. Still configuring / setting up the rest of the laptop for my use atm. Debian makes some things unnecessarily complicated for some reason… Not to mention Wayland
