After my last upgrade, the MNT logo launcher in the upper left no longer works. It also doesn’t work with super-d or from the command line with wofi -d. Any ideas?
update: Looks like the meatball menu on the right is also an issue, shutdown, logout nor reboot work either. (Terminal, system monitor, and brightness high/low do though.)
My case is little different. After the update I had earlier today, I have got into the similar situation. wofi does not seem to launch. The logo menu icon on the top-left of screen shows up and also helper text shows, but clicking on the icon will not do anything.
However, the right side TopBar icons seem to function as they are supposed to do as before.
I think this is a problem with Wayfire somehow. Every time you click on that MNT logo, it starts a wofi that gets stuck in the background, so waybar is doing the thing.
If you run wofi without -n the window is visible and it works as expected.
@murph@shigeru@AbortRetryFail as wayfire users, could you please follow upstream’s advice and compile the track-wlroots branch of wayfire and check if the issue persists? If it does, please comment on wayfire issue #2524 about that. My hunch is, that the problem is not with the patch stack but with the fact that I backported that patch stack onto wayfire 0.9.0 and it’s thus missing 12 commits from the “master” branch. Thanks!
There are many dependencies to download and install according to https://github.com/WayfireWM/wayfire/tree/track-wlroots. It is looking to take several days for me, but I will try, and update here.
I’ve got a medical procedure coming up, and I looked at the upstream advice on github, and was not entirely clear on how, so I’ll look at this when I get a chance. (And take a look at what the reload instructions are in case I botch it)
I don’t use Wayfire regularly. I was helping another person with troubleshooting a Pocket.
I can try to duplicate the problem on my big Reform and maybe compile there.
