Question, about these images,

https://reform.debian.net/images/pocket-reform-system-imx8mp-bpo.img.xz

Would anyone know how to make it so I could boot jwm from it?

You’d have to use that image to understand why I ask this.

sway and wayfire are the only options currently, despite having jwm installed. It gives some kind of help tutorial when I boot into my user account. Rather strange.

Hi, your question is a bit OT for this forum because the images on reform.debian.net are not official MNT images. Going forward you might want to try running jwm with the official images from https://mnt.re/system-image

That being said, I have no clue what jwm is but according to the package description it is a “very small lightweight pure X11 window manager with tray and menus” and I think you have two options:

  1. get X11 running on your Pocket Reform. I cannot remember if there was somebody who already made this work. Search the forums or wait for somebody else to tell you whether using X11 with the imx8mplus is something that can work or not
  2. use Xwayland under wayland which might or might not be too much overhead for you?

You’d have to use that image to understand why I ask this.

I don’t understand what you want to say here. Can you rephrase this?

Can you expand on this? You should be able to use tuigreet to log in.

But remember, maybe rather write me an email at josch@debian.org about your problems because the images are not an offcial resource provided by MNT.
