Is it possible to have a QWERTY-DK (Danish) keyboard for the MNT Reform Next? The closest I see is Swedish, so it’s only a few keys that differ.
I also read that there might be some issues with the keyboard not having the additional keys needed for many international keys (US-keyboards having less keys). It is on this thread: International keyboard layouts which still hasn’t been answered and relates to my question.
While I can’t directly answer your questions (As that’s my post, and the Reform Classic I ordered with the Swedish keyboard hasn’t arrived yet), I do know from the handbook that you can modify the software side of the keyboard via matrix.h in reform2-keyboard4-fw. I’ve already downloaded those files, and created (what I hope is) a working COLEMAK-SE matrix.h based on the vanilla QWERTY-EN key arrangement.
I’ll have to wait until mine gets shipped and delivered to see if I got my programming correct 
Welcome to the forum malte! In addition to what NEVERVERY4 has said about the software side of things, you could ask MNT if they add a danish keyboard layout to the options you can select. I’m using the NEO2 keyboard layout and my last information is, that there are only 3 customers for that. There is certainly more potential customers for a danish layout. Isn’t swedish and danish keyboard the same?
Asking as a norwegian who might be interested in getting a pocket reform. I thought swedish, danish and norwegian was the same? Except maybe writing æ as ä and ø as ö.
Edit: It looks like the Pocket has just US keyboard, but comment still stands.
Danish/Norwegian are almost identical, just a few accent marks and the æ/ø are swapped. The Swedish one is the same story; accent marks, and (as you said) æ/ø are replaced with ä/ö. (sources: kbdlayout.info wikipedia.org).
As for Norwegian, I have an IBM ThinkPad X61 with a “Norwegian with Sámi” layout, which is a Norwegian board that includes Sámi Characters (Wikipedia), making it different from the three above.
I’ll just add to @NEVERVERY4, who gave the answer to your question. You might be thinking of the Nordic layout, which combines Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and I think Finnish too. I wouldn’t mind having that if I can’t have Danish, personally.
Aaaah this I didn’t realize! That of course makes a big difference. I guess it would be easy enough to remap in software and switch the keykaps?
The æ in Danish is ä in Swedish, while ø is ö. So while the keycaps are similar, they are not even the same. Only Norwegian and Danish use the letters æ and ø.
True! I was thinking purely functional here. I would have no problems with my æ looking like an ä and my ø looking like an ö if they were in the correct position, since they anyways look very similar.
