  • Amiga model: A4000
  • 680x0 CPU: 030
  • RAM Configuration: 16MB
  • Kickstart, AmigaOS Versions: 47.96, 3.2
  • ZZ9000 Firmware version: 1.9.1
  • ZZ9000 Driver version: 1.9.1
  • Monitor model: Samsung LU28R550UQUXEN
  • Other Zorro cards: None

I received amy ZZ9000 card yesterday and i’m trying to install into my A4000. Its running a clean install of OS 3.2. I’ve i’ve downloaded and installed the latest Picasso driver from Individual Computers along with latest ZZ9000 driver. 95% of the time when i boot the computer is get:

Software Failure. Press left mouse button to continue
Error: 8000 0003 (sometimes 4) Task: 0706CE50

When i left click it will try to re-boot but usually end up back at the same screen. I can boot by selecting failsafeboot from the early boot menu. Occasionally it will boot correctly but none of the new screen modes are present in Prefs > Screenmode. If i go to Devs > Monitors and double click on the ZZ9000 icon the system freezes and crashes. I have tried uninstalling the Piocasso96 driver and the system boots as normal.

The system is seeing the additional RAM.

Any help would be much appreciated.
