"systemctl suspend" locks up machine

Is it possible to put the pocket reform to sleep? When I run systemctl suspend the screen goes black immediately but it will not wakeup any more using keyboard menu Wake. Also, battery usage stays roughly the same according to the keyboard menu.

For reference: Error creating Encrypted SSD / Migrating - #15 by josch (I did not try this yet).

If you have another PC and a USB UART adapter, try to have a look what the kernel prints on the serial line before suspending and on wake-up from suspend. Maybe you can find some clues that way.
