Update: No it didn't! It's fine! Microhdmi port failed :(

I haven’t opened it up to check yet, but just now as I was moving to unplug my microhdmi adapter, my external monitor went black, and while the adapter still plugs in nicely to the port, it’s REAL floppy, and all I can get is either a black screen or red static.

I’m guessing the port has come off of the board. Is this something a novice might be able to solder back on? I’m guessing it’s going to be far too fiddly?

i opened it up to check, and no, the port is solid, no wiggle. Nor is the little tab inside the port loose. BUT THE ADAPTER’s connector is broken! I had two, so I dug out the other, and it works great.

That’ll teach me to check before posting (let’s be honest – it probably won’t :stuck_out_tongue: )
