I have lost sound; I noticed after updating the ‘pulseaudio’ waybar applet was missing, and running pavuctl from the CLI shows ‘no output devices’.
Alsamixer still shows the soundcard, but I can’t get any noise out of it.
I’m not sure what’s changed, and I’m struggling to diagnose it. Any pointers?
Ran through the updates again (about 12hrs later) and now it’s back! No idea what happened…
I also recently upgraded packages on sysimagev2 and lost working sound output.
In my case, I have Pipewire, and I guess that during apt upgrade pipewire-pulse was removed? Installing and enabling pipewire-pulse was all that was necessary for me to get sound working again.
