Used external battery, now MNT Pocket Reform will not turn on

I bought a 45w external battery charger, and charged my MNT Pocket reform with it.

The external charger battery dropped to 0%, then the MNT went into a reboot cycle. It said battery was at 24%, but plugging in a regular charger the red light would not light up.

Device now will not turn on, not even the keyboard’s OLED.

I disconnected both batteries and tested them with a multimeter and both batteries were outputting > 3 volts.

Red light will not turn on with charger plugged in.

What are my next steps for diagnosing this issue?

I unplugged the batteries again, pressed hyper-enter for 15 seconds and then let the MNT Pocket sit for 10 minutes.

Turned the standby on and plugged in the USB-C cable. No joy – no red light, no OLED from the keyboard.

Can you show a closeup photo of the charger module, in the bottom of the device? (Where the batteries connect to)

Ah, thanks, it’s what i suspected, charger board V1 failure. If you complete these steps, at the end is a form to get a new V2 module for free from us. The process also shows how to bypass the charger board so you can still use the Pocket Reform without it. MNT Support
