I received my replacement daughterboard last week (thank you Wakest!) and it took me 15 minutes to install the new one. My bratwurst fingers did not help 
. I have charged the batteries and run a truly massive update/upgrade: everything is working well now. I just have to get used to the keyboard (or get my fingertips modified).
