what is the charging port?

(mnt reform non pocket) And are there any Official spare parts? Even though I searched the manual, I couldn’t find the specification for the charging port. And, not really to see, is it possible to make a modification to recharge the PC via USBC?

Hi! What do you mean by “spare parts”? There are tons of spare parts and upgrades on the MNT Shop.

If you’re looking for individual components, like the charge port, please refer to the long list of components that is publicly available here. This is the whole BoM and includes every single component.

To answer your questions about charging: the MNT Reform uses this barrel jack for DC input, labelled as J1 on the motherboard.

There is a USB-C charging variant of the motherboard created by @jacqueline but I’m unsure she has made the design files public anywhere. Other users, myself included, have been able to charge with a high enough wattage USB-C brick and the type of USB-C PD to DC barrel cable discussed in this thread here.

Additionally, the connector is specified in the handbook: Advanced Topics — MNT Reform Operator Handbook, 2nd Edition documentation

The Reform will accept DC power between 9 and 32 volts into its barrel jack that is marked J1 on the motherboard. The barrel plug that the Reform accepts has an outer diameter of 5.5 mm and an inner diameter of 2.1 mm with a positive inner contact (IEC 60130-10:1971 Type A). The nominal input voltage is 24V.

The 5.5/2.1 mm barrel plug or full cable assemblies are extremely common. I can literally walk into my local hardware store and buy more plugs or cables. I’m happy that this one was chosen. I also own one of the existing USB-C PD to 5.5/2.1 converters. Since the 5.5/2.1 mm jack is so popular, there exist various options such as those listed in the forum thread referenced by bnys.
