When will MNT Reform comes with the upgraded metal port cover right from purchase?

Great question! I received plastic panels in my DIY kit from CS this week.

Seems there are metal ones in the shop as of March?

I mean comes with the laptop when you first purchase.

It already does. The device that you received from CS has been sitting in the Mouser warehouse for a longer time (I suspect waiting for a trackball module or similar) before we had the steel port covers. We have switched to them in production since they came out.
