ZZ9000 driver won't work in A4000 PAL, but worked fine in A3000 NTSC? (with PAL capable monitor!)

Hi
Just a quick help! because everything went so well transferring my ZZ9K card from the A3K desktop NTSC unit to a new, old A4000D PAL unit (and these are hard to move!).

I followed the instructions again to a T…and no new resolutions in prefs under AOS3.2 or in the P96 prefs, which curiously ghosted out the gfxmnt and zz9000 selections…

I mistakenly selected ‘native’ for the graphics board option during the first installation- but uninstalled everything and reinstalled the newest version of P96 from icomp.de.

And then ran the zz90001_6 installer- with no result except for the driver monitor giving an error under P96. Yes, selected Altais card both times as that is the base config. Also have no additional memory showing up :frowning:

So wondering if my 32" Sceptre LED TV monitor isn’t accepting the PAL output of the ZZ, even though it accepts and shows the PAL output of my A500 using RGB2HDMI?

Something is probably simple here I’ve overlooked-right?
I have the standard PAL resolutions, as that’s what AmigaOS defaults to in the devs:monitors folder, if other drivers don’t work.

PS_ reading another thread now where the lowest slot wasn’t working for another Amiga 4000 using an 060 (mine is 030), and I really hate moving this card!!

Best
Dr.

System Specs:

  • Amiga model: A4K
  • 680x0 CPU: EC030
  • RAM Configuration: 16mb fast, 2 chip
  • Kickstart, AmigaOS Versions: 3.2.1
  • ZZ9000 Firmware version: 1.13
  • ZZ9000 Driver version: 1.13
  • Monitor model: sceptre generic LED TV 32 in, hdmi
  • Other Zorro cards: 0

PS_ without further troubleshooting, I have to assume I 've had a bad ZZ card the whole time, even though it doesn’t have the overvoltage issue, and has the newest P96 and firmware.
