ZZ9000 not usable with 4MB / A2000

Hi,

my ZZ9000 is not usable if I use a 4MB ZII Firmware.
See pic.

  • Amiga model: A2000
  • 680x0 CPU: 68030 / ACA500+ / ACA1233n / F0 Rom Hack
  • RAM Configuration: 128MB Fast / 2 MB Chip
  • Kickstart, AmigaOS Versions: Kick/WB 3.1 some files from 3.9
  • ZZ9000 Firmware version: 1.13 / 1.13-4MB
  • ZZ9000 Driver version: 1.13
  • Monitor model: Eizo 27" HDMI EV2795
  • Other Zorro cards: Buddha 20th

Well, see pic.
Some items of the Workbench are not rendered.

Works fine albeit a bit with stability issues with ZII-2MB firmware.

Replying to myself here.

The bustest with ZZTop renders the buttons similarly useless and replaces them with a bright/blue stripe pattern.

Refreshing the screen afterwards doesn’t help.
The test themselves work without errors.

However, ZZTop complains about delaywrites.

  1. pass bustest:
    zz_perform_memtest_delaywrites…
Done. Result: 0x7a09 (should be: 0xffff)

  2. pass Bustest:
    zz_perform_memtest_delaywrites…
Done. Result: 0x20000 (should be: 0xffff)

Don’t know if that helps.

Replying to myself again here

Feedback from the maintainer of P96:
This almost certainly looks like a bug in the driver implementation of BlitTemplate(). With P96Prefs you can try to disable the blitter. This will make the card very slow, but the problem should be gone.
It may also be that the driver used does not match the firmware used, but that is for the programmer from mntmn […] to answer.

Original text in German:
Das sieht fast-sicher wie ein Fehler in der Treiber-Implementierung von BlitTemplate() aus. Mit P96Prefs kannst Du versuchsweise probieren, den Blitter auszuknipsen. Dadurch wird die Karte sehr langsam, aber das Problem sollte verschwunden sein.
Kann auch sein, dass der eingesetzte Treiber nicht zur eingesetzten Firmware passt, aber das muss der Programmierer von mntmn […] beantworten.
