Waybar broke after apt upgrade

I ran apt upgrade and /usr/local/bin/waybar is not running. I get the following error:

waybar: symbol lookup error: waybar: undefined symbol: ZN6spdlog7details7log_msgC1ENS_10source_locEN3fmt2v717basic_string_viewIcEENS_5level10level_enumES6

I installed waybar with apt, and it’s working, mostly.

I think I’ll follow the recommendation in Post apt upgrade errors / tips and consider removing some of the programs and libraries in /usr/local

From what i can tell it’s an issue with libfmt and waybar, something breaks with libfmt8 and the current waybar version in the repo
